Hommage to Edwin Holgate

Some of my favourite artists include the Group of Seven.  This painting is oil on canvas and is titled "Hommage to Edwin Holgate".  Holgate was one of the group of seven and this painting is for sale.  I am excited to share some good news.... The Orange Art Gallery on Armstrong Street has taken three of my landscape paintings and are showing them.  If you have a chance and happen to be in the neighbourhood, drop in and take a look.

Spring In The Woods

This painting is acrylic on wood.  I feel as if I were to walk into the light in the painting, I would be in a warm patch of sunlight that I could sit in for hours and just stare up into the sky.  Painting SOLD.

Cottage Life

I recently became the owner of a new cottage and it's exciting.  It's a place to relax and enjoy time with friends and family.  It also gives me the opportunity to explore the landscape and paint it as I see it.  It's also a great way to get to know a new community and to make new friends.  I love to gaze out at the water and trees that surround the cottage.  It looks different depending on the time of day or weather.  This painting gives me a feeling of tranquility.  You can canoe to this bay and let nature wrap itself around you.  This painting recently SOLD.

Tulips

Oh More Tulips!  'Tis the season for....tulips.  These tulips that I painted are acrylic on canvas.  I was at Dow's Lake and took a picture of some tulips up close and personal!  This painting is what emerged - a burst of colour.  I love the reds and greens. Of course red being the opposite of green on the colour wheel makes them even more appealing.  I would love to hear from any of you who check out my blog and sneak a peek at my paintings.  Let me know what you think.  I'm going to back to my studio and put some paint to canvas.  SOLD.

Now......up close and personal.....
